got around to replacing dpf filter today and the gauze oil filter in the bottom banjo bolt for the oil feed to the turbo,, to do this is a bumper off and loosen the front panel enough to pull the dpf and cat out in one go its a must do around 70-80k so the dpf filter was totally full i banged it on the floor when out and loads of red fine sand looking crud comes out this is byproduct of regenerations over years,, so before the car felt sluggish like no early boost from turbo feeling also mpg was down to 53mpg . just drove it back 10 miles and already 68mpg and just a totally different car to drive,
volvo and ford use same engines and they recommend dpf filter renew at 75k, the best bit is on these the filter is in two parts so can buy the lower part cost me £128 delivered 24 hour courier on ebay link below for others,, it is possible to change the lower dpf part with out loosening the front end but if doing the gauze its best to remove all of it,
