Has anyone experienced this. I have 21 weeks old Cooper D. On two occasions I have had the experience of stopping the car, switching off the engine only to hear the cooling fan launch into action at high speed. getting out of the car the front end smells 'Hot. Fan goes off in 5-7 minutes.
It is booked into service for a check this week. I noticed some internet chatter about this being one of, a sensor misread, lack of coolant, software error, Thermostat problem.
