Hi,
Last Monday I purchased a R53 Mini One 1.4 D. Although I wasn't totally confident with the noise from the engine I had it checked in the sellers loca garage and the guy said it was just a normal diesel sound. Right after I got it a realised the slight issue with the power steering pump when the steering is fully locked. However the worst happened on Friday. As I was driving on a A lane suddenly the ASC light came on and the engine lost all its power and I had stop and start again on the go. The same thing happened again on Saturday morning so I decided to take the car away. I've just done a quick research and thought it could be something related with the DPF as the previous owner only did 5000 miles in a year and never reved it too much (old woman driver). Could you please give me a hand with this? I am quite desperate as need the car for work and only had it working for 5 days... Also, would you recommend a diagnosis? Do you know any place in West London or High Wycombe that would do it?
A million thanks for your help.
Cheers,
Joe
