Hi all,
Rather annoyingly my Cooper has picked up a scratch! :'(. A mate of mine was wearing jeans, leaned on my car and left a nice scratch for me - right down to the primer :(. Pic attached.
Now, I've managed to get hold of a touch up pen and fill in the scratch and lacquer. The scratch is less noticeable but it is protruding and you can see the outline of the extra paint.
Can anyone advise on the next steps to take? Was think of either wet sanding with 2500-3000 wet & dry or (most likely) polishing with Scratch X till it eats down the layers till its flush then polish with Auto Glym Super Resin Polish & then a coat of wax?
Would prefer not to go down the Chips Away route as I've heard horror stories of a dull/matte finish and don't wan't to book my car into a body shop and be without a car :(.
What do you guys think?
Thanks
Kyle
