For MINI drivers in the Vancouver BC area.
This year's Christmas Wish Toy Drive and Breakfast at the Pan Pacific is on December 13.
Bring a toy to drop off, have breakfast and still be on time for work (if you work in Vancouver). It would be interesting to fill the Pan Pacific parking lot with MINIs.
This is supposed to be informal, but I like it when a group of MINI drivers get together. I do not pressure anybody to come and fully understand that people have jobs, or exams or other more important personal matters to attend to. But when we do something for a good cause, it makes everybody feel better and to me, that is more a meaning of Christmas than to exchange gifts on a regular basis with those we love who mostly already have more than they need (not in anyway suggesting that is a bad thing).
We leave MINI Yaletown Service centre at 6:15am and drive to the Pan Pacific. You need to bring at least one new toy to donate (and maybe we can toss onto the pile). We have breakfast together and then are all free to leave. In the past, I have gotten to the radio station table and asked the DJ to issue a challenge to other car clubs, on behalf of Vancouver MINI Cooper Club, to bring toys down. If we should finish by 7:30am, most of us have time to make it to work on time.
Thank-you to the Vancouver MINI Cooper Club (VMCC) for making a donation. I went out and acquired toys for age groups from 1 year olds to 12+ year olds with maybe possibly a car theme. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of MINI related toys out there this year that was affordable.

Sofa, cameras in the foreground, and stuffed animal not included.
Since the boxes are rather big, I'm going to need some help getting this stuff upstairs to the hotel. If more people can show up, that would be very helpful.
