Well this week I bought my wife a 57 plate Mini Cooper Diesel with 78K on the clock. We were chuffed to bits with it, that was until yesterday when the dastardly warning triangle showed up on the dash and basically showed a problem with the dpf system (not covered under warranty). I have been on a good long run in the car this evening (40 miles) at 2500 rpm and the light is still on so I guess the regeneration cycle isn't working or the filter has come to the end of it's usefulness.
Now here is my dilemma.
Do I go down the road of trying to fix the problem keeping the DPF system and probably end up getting ripped off by my local stealership, who already said they want £80 just to do a diagnostic!!!!!! or do I go down the deletion/remap path if so can anyone recommend a company in the Cambridge area that I can trust to do the job properly?
Not a good start to my MINI ownership
your input is appriciated :)
