I have a 2010 Mini 2 convertible that has developed a steering wheel vibration at very low speeds.
It feels like one of the tyres has deformed - as it is in sync with the wheel rotation (ie one wobble per wheel turn I think) - but I have checked the tyres and they are fine with plenty of tread left and no sign of any deformed sidewall or face.
It speeds up as the car speeds up and is not noticeable above 30mph.
Am I right in suspecting wear in one of the CV joints? Are there any other ways to test that? I have no clunking on full lock or other signs.
