I finally got my hands on my dream car that I've been pining after for over 5 years! I finally bought a 2003 mini cooper s Black/White Roof, Nav, Sport.
Every option I could ever want.
However, as soon as I got it home my buddy who knows a bit more about cars than I do came over and took a basic look over and said that most of it is clean, except for the coolant. So the coolant is a milky off white/light brown color and the reservoir take has a white crust that looks like dried toothpaste around the filler hole. After doing some general research for what can cause coolant to be this color I scared myself as many people claim that this is typically caused by oil in the coolant and that on most cars that this is a indication of a head gasket problem.
Is this the case for minis? My friend asked me to ask the forums if this is just normal on minis? Could it possibly be something else?
Please help. Thanks a lot people and I look forward to being much more active now that I have my very own mini.
