Hi there,
Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere but I had a look & I couldn't find the answer I was looking for.
My partner & I have recently bought a 2006 Cooper S & after driving it for a few days we've noticed that the drivers seat slide adjust doesn't fully lock in place. Something neither of us picked up on on the test drive as I'm sure I would have noticed it.
It's as if it's loose somewhere on the runner. It only moves slightly but is very noticeable when braking & accelerating.
I had a look at it today to see if I could see what was going on with it & the bolts are all done up ok. It also only moves when someone is sat in the seat. If I try to rock the seat back & forth whilst stood outside the car it locks ok with no movement. The movement is between the top & bottom runner & is of a rocking motion.
Has anyone else had this issue & managed to resolve it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
LC
