Hello,
The car (Mini one, 2007) today failed a second time on the emission test with the following reading:
fast idle
CO Max: 0.20% Reading: 0.25%
HC Max: 200ppm Reading: 367 ppm
second fast idle test
CO Max: 0.20% Reading: 0.63%
HC Max: 200ppm Reading: 399 ppm
The first time it failed I was provided with fuel cleaning liquid and was told to follow the instruction and return again for a retest, which was also a fail.
I am visiting a BMW specialist to have my car plugged into their diagnostic system for codes. Can anyone suggest a likely culprit which could be at fault? Based on research it would suggest a bad 02 sensor or catalytic converter.
I would like to hear any suggestion.
Regards
