Pretty much everything is now sorted on my wifes mini (damaged repaired 2006 R56 with under 5000miles from new) however there are a few small issues...
Firstly the horn does not work :( the Airbag was replaced but the original wheel retained, I think that all the wires were re-connected (hoping that I will not have to disconnect the battery and take the airbag off again as it was not much fun lol).
I have checked the fuse under the steering wheel and this was blown so replaced it, but it still does not work.
Is it likely that it is just a knackered horn? from what I can see there are two horns on the r56 cooper s, do they normally fail at the same time? or is there likely another problem?
Secondly the ipod connector in the glovebox and the bluetooth are not working, these were factory fit from new not aftermarket (have the satnav stereo).
When plugged in the ipod does not register in the menus and the option to pair phone is not shown either, are there any fuses that might affect this or is it possible that when I had the airbags reset they somehow managed to deprogram them from the ecu?
Thirdly when driving the steering sometimes feels a bit wooly and detached (steering wheel was not removed).
Fourth and finally when the tank is filled completely with fuel there is a strong smell of fuel that enters through the cabin vents (if only filled to 3/4 this does not occur).
Answers on a postcard lol thanks shane
