Unfortunately I think Im having a problem with my transmission. I have a 2006 Mini Cooper with 140,000 miles. Recently I noticed the car would lose rpm in first gear at a slow speed, then after a few seconds of accelerating it would grab into gear (often screeching the tires.)
I went to drive the car the other day and it wouldn't go. It would idle and creep (forward and reverse) at a very slow speed but nothing else. As I accelerated the rpm's would go up, but the car would not move. I just recently purchased the vehicle, the seller told me the transmission had been repaired about 7k miles before I purchased it.
I've read a lot about the problems with these trannys. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I thank you kindly in advance!
