New to the forum, and have registered in the hope that the experts out there may be able to shine a little light on a few issue.
My wife has a mini one 02 plate, it is a great little car.:)
Right here goes :(
Firstly it is using all of its coolant daily, i am regularly topping this it with BMW's own recommended coolant. I can not find any witness marks as to where this is going, the drive is dry as well as the engine bay.
Secondly, the temperature gauge in the car stay at mid point for the majority of the time, but occasionally it will fly up to the top, illuminating the red light. No soon does it go up, it returns to mid point. This was very infrequent but lately it is happening more often. The engine itself appears to be 'normal' temp when i look at it.
Finally, in the last two days the car has stop producing heat from the vents, they blow at the various speeds but he temp is always cold. If you drive with the fans off, i can hear an add 'slurring' sound emitting from behind the central console.
Obviously any help on any of these matters would be greatly appreciated.
