R56 Gearbox - Do I need new links?

Hi all,

I am having a slight problem with the gearbox. When I come out of gear, the gear stick doesn't automatically go back to the middle, it is like there is no spring action.

I have taken the gaiter off and it seems that the linkage is a bit stiff.

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get it fixed and how much it is going to cost?
