I would like to know if there is a way to not just lower the volume but actually turn off the gong alert chime noise. It isn't just the seatbelt- but rather the door, headlights and key entry with the start button addition for 2011+ year models. We just took an awesome 5000 mile road trip and it definitely got to us eventually. Maybe a fuse be pulled? I don't know if there is a way because the sound seems to come from all the speakers- awesome. In older cars you could usually just remove the little alert speaker. This has nothing to do with safety regarding seatbelts as much as for everything else that the gong is used for. I've done a little background searching with little luck that's why I figured on posting and getting the yes or no advice from the guys or gals that understand minis.
