My SD has the 18" split rims, you know the ones with black outer, polished rim and grey inner.
As they are so visible I like to keep them clean, even the insides. My car is just over 12 months old with only 6000 miles on the clock. So imagine my shock to find that the inners of the wheels are starting to corrode quite badly. The corrosion is starting from their joint with the black outers and is travelling under the paint.
I've been back to the Dealer and they took pictures which they'll send to Mini. Am hoping for new wheels. Although the type I have look nice I think I would prefer a once piece wheel.
So if you have split rims check them for corrosion.:mad:
